October News
Well that was a quiet month if ever there was. The weather has started turning,
bringing on the winter when you can expect the water temperature to drop to a
chilly 270C. Be sure to get out your 5mm suits ! ! !

The diving has generally been reasonable with the viz out at the Far Islands being
a great 15m at times.

Jack came into town for a brief visit, but somehow managed to leave Fabien and
Peggy behind. Actually Peggy was in China producing a film and Fabien was off to
the Barrier Reef with a friend for some good diving.

Certifications
Congratulations go to Victor Paru, Adam Moran and Craig Raymond, all from the
USA for completing the Advanced, Andrew Hale, from the UK for his Open Water
and Wanida from Thailand for her Open Water. “Lek” our budding Thai DM
Trainee, is now through his Rescue, with only the Exam to be done. Charlie his
Instructor (who speaks no Thai and somewhat incomprehensible English at times)
and Lek (who speaks, or claims not to, no English) are having a fun time of it all
with Max standing in as the translator.

John Reid has arrived back in Thailand, although he is not able to go diving at the
moment as he is recuperating from some minor surgery. We wish him a speedy
return to the water.

We are now looking forward to the “High Season” which augers well for
us all.
