Divers Helping Reefs: Todd Stewart 10-Jan-2012
Todd joined on our boat with another dive shop on a quite large scuba diving package and so was pretty much a regular for around a month or so, during which he witnessed us putting down a couple of buoys. Naturally we started talking about our project for Divers Helping Reefs and Todd donated 3000 Baht (about US $ 100). At first he was not sure where he would like to place his buoy but being an avid wreck diver and after rationalizing that the wrecks are indeed artificial reefs, indeed some of our most prolific reefs, and that they deserve to be protected from anchor strikes as well, chose to put his buoy on the stern of the HTMS Khram. An added benefit from placing mooring buoys on the wrecks is that dive boats are moored and not motoring around the area endangering divers doing free ascents. Tood and his good friend Brad helped to deploy this mooring buoy.
